Is the estimate what I actually get paid?
It's what we expect to pay, based on what you tell us. If the phone matches your description when it arrives, that's the number. If it doesn't, we show you what differs, what it changed, and by how much - and you decide whether to take the new offer or have the phone sent back.
What happens if I disagree with the revised offer?
You tell us to return it, and we send the phone back at our cost. Declining is a normal outcome, not a dispute. We would rather return a phone than pay someone a price they didn't agree to.
How long is my estimate good for?
7 days. Phone prices move week to week, so an estimate that sat around for a month wouldn't be honest. After it expires you can start a new quote and we'll price it against current numbers.
Why do you ask for descriptions instead of a condition grade?
Because grades are ambiguous in a way that always favours the buyer. Your idea of 'Good' and ours might differ by fifty dollars. 'Light scratches visible at an angle' doesn't have that problem.
Do I need to know my battery health percentage?
No. If your phone shows one, it helps us be precise. If it doesn't - which is common on Android - pick 'I'm not sure' and we'll check it during inspection. Choosing 'not sure' is a normal answer, not a penalty.
Will you buy a phone with a cracked screen?
Usually, yes, at a lower price that reflects the repair. Some damage means we can't make it worth doing, and we'll tell you that instead of making a token offer.
What if my phone was repaired by a third party?
That doesn't automatically disqualify it. It may reduce the offer, because aftermarket parts affect what the phone resells for. We'd rather you tell us up front than have it turn up at inspection.
What if I still owe payments on it?
Choose that option in the quote and we'll review it by hand rather than quoting a number we might not be able to honour. A phone with an outstanding balance can be locked by the carrier after it leaves you, which is a problem for both of us.
Do I need to remove Find My or Activation Lock?
Yes, before you ship it. A phone still linked to your account can't be resold, and we'd have to send it back. You can turn it off any time before it goes out.
What information do you collect?
Your name, email, phone number, and ZIP code. We ask for the phone's IMEI and serial only once we physically have the device and need them for verification, and we never show them publicly. We don't ask for Social Security numbers, bank logins, or ID documents.
How does shipping work?
We email you a prepaid label. Getting the phone to us costs you nothing, whether or not you end up accepting the final offer.
How do I get paid?
We arrange payment with you directly once the inspection is settled and you've accepted the offer. We'll confirm the method when we send your shipping instructions.
Who is behind this?
Clear Phone Offer is a small, owner-operated business. There's no call centre and no algorithm making the final call - a person reviews every quote.
How do I check on a quote I already submitted?
Use the reference we emailed you (it looks like CPO-26-000123). Your status page shows where the phone is, the original estimate, and anything the inspection changed.
