How it works

Four steps. The fourth one is where most trade-in programmes go quiet, so it’s the one we describe in the most detail.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your phone

Answer a few simple questions about the device and its condition. Which model, how much storage, whether it’s unlocked, and what shape the screen, body, and battery are in.

We don’t use grades like “Good” or “Fair”, because those are words a buyer can reinterpret later. We ask for descriptions instead: “light scratches visible at an angle” means the same thing to both of us.

It takes about 90 seconds, and you don’t type anything until you’ve seen your number.

  2. 2

    See your estimated offer

You get your number and, right underneath it, the arithmetic that produced it: a base value for your exact model and storage, then each thing about your phone’s condition that moved the number, and by how much.

    Example: iPhone 15 Pro · 128GB · Unlocked

    Base device value
    $420
    Screen condition
    $0
    Light cosmetic wear
    −$15
    Battery health 80–89%
    −$20
    Estimated offer
    $385

An example, not a live quote. Your own breakdown is built from your answers.

Estimates are valid for 7 days. After that, prices have usually moved and we’d rather requote than pretend an old number still holds.

  3. 3

    Send us your phone

We email you a prepaid shipping label. Getting the phone to us costs you nothing.

Before you send it, turn off Find My or Activation Lock and sign out of your account. We can’t resell a phone that’s still linked to you, and we’d have to send it back. Our guide to packing and shipping your phone walks through it.

  4. 4

    Inspection and final offer

When your phone arrives we check it against what you described: screen, body, battery health, every function, repair history, and whether it’s clear to resell.

If everything matches, we pay the estimate. No renegotiation, no “processing adjustment”.

If something differs, we show you what we found beside what you told us, what it changed, and by how much:

Example: battery measured at 76%, reported as 80–89%.

    Your original estimate
    $385
    Battery health measured at 76%
    −$25
    Final offer
    $360

Then you decide. Accept the new number, or tell us to send the phone back — and we do, at our cost. Declining a revised offer is a completely normal outcome. You are never trapped into taking a price you didn’t agree to.
